Prologue

Long ago, during the times of chivalry and knighthood when humanity was asleep, the world was threatened by darkness. The Dark Hordes, a powerful army of inhuman creatures rised up to destroy mankind and claim the world as their own. They were lead by a man called Ishtaros, a mysterious knight clad in a armor as black as his own heart. No one knows from where he came from or what did he seek to conquer everything, but one thing was sure: He hated mankind more than anybody. Alongside him there were 2 powerful creatures: a four armed monster called Ashura, known for his mystical skills and savage behaviour in combat, and a lizardman only adressed to as the Shaman. The Shaman had foreseen that Maxwell Cross, a skillfull and outstanding knight hailing from Bludhaven, along with the help of the Eternal Kingdom of Knightley would once be able to bring Ishtaros down. However, a confident Ishtaros decided to make something about it. Maxwell, who was travelling at the time, had a direct encounter with him. Ishtaros not only defeated him, but also casted a curse on him which converted Maxwell into the first Dhampir to ever exist within the world, making him just like one of the Dark Hordes creatures. However... Maxwell was awfully determined. He sworn to take revenge upon Ishtaros one day even if it would cost him his life. Many years after, Maxwell came across a brave mercenary named Solomon Rutgard. Solomon was defending a village all by himself from a troop of the Dark Hordes. He teamed up along with him and together they were able to obliterate them. Ever grateful, Solomon decided to go along with Maxwell after having learned of their common enemy. And much later on, they met their 3rd ally...
